."the changeling" guest art

"The Changeling" is a dark wlw romance/fantasy horror indie animation set in a West Coast Chinatown in the 1980s. For this project, I pulled primarily from painted background art in anime like From Up On Poppy Hill and Perfect Blue. All the assets were modeled and in Blender and textured in Substance Painter. The final effect was achieved by combining Blender's Cycle's shader with painting in shadows on object textures, emission maps, and compositing in both Blender's native compositor and Adobe After Effects,
